The All Saints Family

Palm Sunday 2004When you join our congregation, we hope that you will share not only a particular experience of worship, but also receive a welcome to our family life.

At our major service each week, High Mass on Sunday morning, the congregation includes many visitors from all over the country and the world. Some are regular, long-standing friends of the parish and many are with us for the first, and perhaps the only time. Some will stay to become regular members of our congregation. All are welcomed to our fellowship and invited to share our common life.

Besides our Sunday congregation, we have regular and occasional worshippers who attend Mass and the offices of Mattins and Evensong throughout the week, many of whom work in the Oxford Street area.

Our congregations include people who are drawn to All Saints for many reasons, some of whom have little or no knowledge of Christianity when they first arrive. Through sharing our worship and activities they learn about Christianity and the Catholic tradition in the Church of England and many request to be prepared for the sacramental life of Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion which is an important part of our parish provision.

The Electoral Roll

If you join the Sunday or week day congregation on a regular basis, we hope that you will wish to identify yourself with us by joining our Electoral Roll. This is officially the people who can take part and vote in the annual parish meeting, but less formally it is a guide to the people who feel committed to the parish and its aims. If you have been worshipping with us for a reasonable length of time and would like to join our roll, please ask one of the clergy or Church Wardens for a form, or write to the Parish Administrator at 7 Margaret Street, London W1W 8JG. Alternatively, you can download a copy of the form by clicking here. Please note that this form cannot be returned by email, and must be printed off and returned to the Electoral Roll Officer.

If you join the Electoral Roll, you will receive information about the finances of the parish: how much it costs to keep the parish running, how it is raised and how it is spent; and an invitation to join our Stewardship scheme if you are a UK taxpayer. If you would like to receive this pack, even if you have not yet joined the Electoral Roll, please write to the Parish Administrator at 7 Margaret Street, London W1W 8JG.

Included in your Stewardship pack will be a list of suggested ways in which you might agree to help us on a voluntary basis. Many of the activities are to do with hospitality which is an important dimension to our parish life. As we welcome visitors to the parish, so we hope that those who join us will in their turn help us to welcome others. There are other activities concerned with our worship and mission for which some may choose to volunteer. Full details are included in the Stewardship pack or speak to one of the Church Wardens.

The All Saints Club

Regular members of the congregation usually like to join the All Saints Club which runs the licensed bar and provides refreshments on Sundays and other occasions. The subscription is £2 annually and membership is necessary to buy drinks in the bar. You can join the Club in the bar after the main services on Sundays and after Mass on major festivals.
